Une expérience écossaise par Tristan

Du 5 au 8 juillet 2013 j’ai eu la chance de participer au National Festival of Youth Theater (NFYT) en Ecosse.

Ce festival de théâtre regroupant des compagnies d’Ecosse, d’Irlande et de France fut un réel succès. En tant que jeune participant, j’ai eu l’opportunité d’assister aux nombreux spectacles des compagnies présentes qui ont toutes démontré un haut niveau de qualité artistique. De plus j’ai pris part à l’atelier théâtral “Scratch Performance” qui consistait à créer une courte performance avec des jeunes de compagnies et de nationalités différentes. Ce festival m’a permis de découvrir plusieurs approches du théâtre ainsi que de faire de nombreuses rencontres, toutes enrichissantes, tant au niveau humain qu’artistique. C’est pourquoi il me semble que de telles expériences sont d’un apport non négligeable pour la pratique du théâtre. J’espère sincèrement avoir l’occasion de participer à d’autres manifestations de la sorte.

Pour conclure je tiens particulièrement à remercier l’équipe de Promote YT qui a organisé ce festival, tous les artistes qui nous ont accompagnés pendant ces quatre jours, et surtout, le théâtre Le Grand Bleu qui a rendu possible cette exceptionnelle expérience.

From the 5th to the 8th July 2013, I had the chance to take part in the National Festival of Youth Theater (NFYT) in Scotland. This gathering of several different theater companies from Scotland, Ireland and France was a resounding success. As a young participant I had the opportunity to see many performances which all showed a high quality level in theater. Besides, I took part of the “Scratch Performance” which aimed to create a short piece of theater involving young performers from different companies and nationalities. These days allowed me to meet people and to open my mind to news ways of working. Most of all I would like to warmly thank Promote YT which organized the festival, all the artists who worked with us during the festival, and the theater Le Grand Bleu which offered me the opportunity to take part in this project.

In conclusion, I want to say that this experience is, to my mind, really important to enable young people to practice theater in many different ways. I truly hope to have the chance to go on others experiences of that kind. Again thanks to all the people who made this festival possible.
